Mac with Apple silicon (M1 to M4) Intel Mac Windows

Not sure which model you have? Apple menu → “About This Mac”. If it says “Apple M… chip”, take the Apple silicon version. Linux and other versions.

AnyDesk

A light, fast program with nothing to install beforehand: just one file to open.

TeamViewer QuickSupport

A very widely used tool, in the “QuickSupport” version that needs no installation for a one-off session.

On a Mac, one extra step

macOS asks for your permission before any program can see your screen and control your Mac. On first launch, open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording and Accessibility, then allow the program. We walk you through it: it is the only slightly confusing moment.

1. You call

You describe the problem over the phone. If it can be solved remotely, we carry on; if not, we tell you straight away.

2. You download

We guide you to download and open one of the programs above, then you read us the code shown on screen.

3. We take over

With your agreement, we take control of your Mac and fix the problem in front of you. You end the session whenever you want.
