Workshop drop-off

For hardware faults that cannot be fixed remotely or at your home. By appointment only.

By appointment only. Our workshops are not open to the public: please call us before coming, and we will agree on a slot together.

How it works

1. Call us

Describe the fault. We will tell you whether a drop-off is justified, or whether a remote session or a home visit is enough.

2. Book an appointment

Our workshops do not take walk-ins. We agree on a drop-off slot together.

3. Diagnosis

We identify the fault and the exact model, then call you with a quote before any chargeable work.

4. Repair

Once you agree, we repair. We let you know if an Apple part needs ordering time.

5. Collection

You collect your Mac by appointment, tested, started up in front of you and ready to use.

6. Warranty

Every repair carries a one-year warranty, excluding damage from a drop or a liquid spill.

When to drop off

Dropping it off is not always necessary

A large share of problems are solved without moving the machine at all: by remote session if your connection still works, or at your home. Call us first and we will tell you honestly which is quickest.

Typical drop-off cases
  • A broken or cracked screen, or one showing nothing at all
  • A swollen battery, one that no longer holds a charge, or will not charge
  • A dead keyboard or trackpad, unresponsive keys
  • A liquid spill - in which case switch off and do not switch back on
  • A Mac that will not start at all, or that shuts down by itself
  • SSD replacement or memory upgrade on compatible models

What to bring

Bring the original charger and, above all, write down your account password. Without it we can neither test the repaired machine nor check your data. If your Mac still starts, make a backup before dropping it off - and if you are not sure how, say so and we will take care of it.
