The faults we deal with
A broken or cracked screen, or one crossed by vertical lines; a battery that no longer holds a charge or has started to swell; keys that stop responding; the charging connector; a trackpad turned temperamental; a crackling speaker. We also swap the drive for an SSD and add memory on the models that allow it — the single upgrade that transforms a machine a few years old.
On the software side: macOS that will not start, an interrupted update, slowdowns, malware removal, migration to a new Mac, Time Machine backups and data recovery from a drive that has become unreadable.
Liquid spill: switch off, do not switch back on
Liquid on the keyboard usually reaches the logic board or the trackpad. Every attempt to switch the machine back on makes the corrosion worse. Unplug it, switch it off, and call us: that is the only move that improves your chances.
